Having a crystal clear singular goal (the WHAT) and knowing WHY your goal is important in your future is where the internal motivation comes from to persistently pursue your goal regardless of the conditions, obstacles, set backs, temporary failures, your doubts, worries, concerns, fears or feelings or, who beyond yourself understands WHY your goal is so important to you. After you have paid the price in time, effort and energy for what you want more than anything else, you're the one who gets to enjoy the rewards. For anyone who has a goal like I've described and a long enough list of "Reasons Why" to achieve it, procrastination will never become a problem in your life.

BJ Fogg is considered to be the ultimate authority on behavioral change based on building tiny habits. Once you've identified a new routine that causes better outcomes in your life and what to do to turn that new pattern of activity into an ongoing habit, the key to implementing that change

is a 3 step process. (1) Choose an 'anchor trigger' to remind yourself that you want to respond to the trigger in a new way. (2) Place the new trigger immediately ---AFTER--- something else you routinely do. (3) Have some type of a reward ready that you only get after you have behaved in this new way. By repeating this process for 21-to-28 days, your new behavior will become the habit you desire. To build your confidence that you have the skills to master the creation of new habits, begin with tiny, easy to do, new behaviors. With the passage of time, choose more challenging behavioral changes until your confidence level is bullet proof.
