(examiner.com) I ran into a friend the other day at a wake. Rather, he was my best friend in high school 40 years ago. We went to different colleges and grew apart for no particular reason other than access. He went on to become very wealthy in his chosen field, or so I hear from mutual friends and we are all happy for him in his successes. So I write this now because when we exchanged pleasantries at the wake and we were about to go our separate ways again, he offered, “Hey, I’m sorry. I’m sorry our lives weren’t, I sorry I wasn’t there.” There was no time, we were both leaving. I simply said and meant, “It’s ok Jack.” That’s all there was to say. I probably didn’t need to say that. A weird look woulda coulda shoulda sufficed. I think I knew what he meant, and he didn’t need to apologize, and I would rather he didn’t and hadn’t. Managing Time - Systems That Work
(Jim Vaughan, Editor) Years ago I had an after hours dinner meeting with one of my must successful customers. The topic we discussed most that night was, 'systems that get thing done.' All night long, my customer told me about systems he used that worked for him. None of his systems seemed like good solutions for me. He didn't get excited about any of the systems I used to get things done. At the end of the evening we both agreed to only one thing. It doesn't make any difference what system you use to get things done however, you do have to have a system and that system has to work for you.

Inner peace (or peace of mind) refers to a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace, with enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress. Being "at peace" is considered by many to be healthy (homeostasis) and the opposite of being stressed or anxious. Peace of mind is generally associated with bliss, happiness and contentment. Peace of mind, serenity, and calmness are descriptions of a disposition free from the effects of stress. In some cultures, inner peace is considered a state of consciousness or enlightenment that may be cultivated by various forms of training, such as prayer, meditation, T'ai Chi Ch'uan or yoga, for example. Many spiritual practices refer to this peace as an experience of knowing oneself. Finding inner peace is often associated with traditions such as Hinduism and Buddhism.
