It's the real life version of ground hog day. Living life like this is caused by your lifetime collection of programming, inflicted upon you by authority figures since you were a baby. Your greatest growth will come once you realize you don't have to live your life the way others have told you to live it. This course, in it's entirety, is designed to help you master what you think... so you can enjoy better outcomes in your life.
To master what you think it's important to realize the basics of how your brain works. Your subconscious mind is where the mental auto-pilot software is stored. If you want a better life... you have to do some mental overrides and remodeling. Your subconscious mind is like a filing cabinet, it doesn't care what kind of thoughts you put into it. All thoughts are accepted as truth and they control your behavior based on these ideas. Your subconscious mind can't tell the difference between fact or fiction. That's where self-talk comes in. Your inner voice—the one that provides a running monologue can be cheerful and supportive or negative and self-defeating.” Your self-talk combines your conscious thoughts with your unconscious beliefs and biases. It’s an effective way for your brain to interpret and process your daily experience. Unfortunately, human nature is prone to negative self-talk, making sweeping assertions like “I can’t do anything right!” or “I’m a complete failure!” This negativity can be unrealistic or even harmful, but we do it anyway. The good news is you can program yourself challenge that negative self-talk.
FROM THE PURPOSE FAIRY BLOG- Be very careful with the thoughts you think and the words you speak - thoughts have power, creative power, and if you let your mind wander wherever it pleases, it will continue to trick you into thinking that who you are is not enough – good enough, smart enough, beautiful enough, worthy enough, etc., and it will continue to damage the quality of your life. Don’t believe everything you think. Stand guard at the gate of your mind and discipline your mind to think only thoughts that are positive, uplifting and empowering and ignore all those thoughts that are meant to harm you.
To begin to retrain your brain with healthy, positive self-talk... suggest you stand in front of a mirror and say nice things about yourself. Repeatedly doing this will, little by little, rewrite the subconscious software that controls your confidence, self-image and automatic behaviors. Scientists recommend as you talk to yourself in the mirror, use your name instead of saying I. Consider writing down all the positive affirmations about yourself you want to be true. Tape it beside the mirror. One by one read the affirmations to the self in the mirror. Over time it will shock you the day you realize you are becoming the person you have always wanted to be..
